I've had a problem with my driver's side power door lock key control, since I'm going to be installing a alarm/starter with keyless entry on my corolla, thought I'd fix this problem along with the installation. Basically, when I flick the key in the driver's side door, it opens the driver's lock ( all's fine here ), if I flicked the key again after the driver's unlock, it used to opens all the door locks in the car ( problem - it no longer does that ). On the front passenger side, the first flick of the key opens all the door locks ( just as it used to ), so all's working on that circuit. Also, on the driver's side, if I use the door-lock button on the inside, all door locks open successfully, so all's working on that circuit as well. Any idea of what the problem might be, it's a minor problem, but does'nt hurt fixing it.

Also confirmed that once all the door locks are open, I can close all of them with the flick of the key on the driver's side door. Makes me wonder if this could possibly be a mechanical problem in the key lock, rather than any problem in the circuit.

Anybody, experienced such a problem, feedback would be appreciated.

I finished installation of the keyless entry on my corolla, was pretty easy, so now all the locks open from the remote, but the problem with all the locks opening using the key from the driver's side is still there.

Any feedback here ???
