i just installed a mannix remote auto start with alarm on my navigator, the problem im having is that the truck shuts off after about 5 seconds rearms and then tries 2 more times and rearmsbut shuts off after about 5 seconds of running, ive tried 2 different ignition wirings, one with  1 relay and the other with 2 relays. I even tired with out the starter relay and same problem. what would casue this problem, ive heard something about the door switches needing to be hooked up.

Did you do anything to bypass the immobilizer? It could be that or something wrong with the tach wire.

This is from the troubleshooting section of the install manual. Hope it helps.

The vehicle will start, but will only run for 10 seconds.

Is the remote start programmed for voltage sense? Try programming the unit for low voltage reference. If this does not work, a tach wire should be used.  Check diagonostics.

Try remote starting with a key in the ignition in the off position.

i bypassed the system with a boa bypass module, programmed key inside and i have also tried with the key in the ignition. I got the tach wire off of the instrument panel, the haynes said it was the tach wire but ill try some where else, what type of signal will i be looking for from the tach, thanx for helping, very quick responses

the tach wire should read around 6-7 volts AC and increase with RPM.

so do you think that the tack wire could be my problem, hopefully it is ill have to check tommorrow, i get back to you guys

Do a search for your model number + install or installation on this site. You may have to play around with the exact phrase.

got it working, it was the wire for the tach that was the problem, i just moved it to one of the injectors, thanx
