Doing a 2005 Ford Focus. Had the BLACK/ red and black yellow as the door lock wires. My tech sheet said in the passenger side kick. Looked real quick on the drivers side and did not find these there. I ran the wires over to the passenger side. The locks work on unlock, but not on lock. Could it be the is not enough of a negitive pulse with the wire run longer than normal.. Any one run in to this on the Focus????

Does the BLACK/ red show a voltage change when you operate the lock from the switch? If it does, try running a short wire straight to ground ( i recommend using a 1 amp fuse on the wire also for safety) and see if that will make the door lock. If you do not see your meter shwo ground you have the wrong wire, keep looking. Do NOT try the wire to ground until you VERIFY that the wire in question does show a ground when you lock the door with the switch. My tech info says BLACK/ red pin 15 of the Grey plug in the GEM module, which is above the passenger kick panel. If you have the correct wire and the short ground wire makes it work, then using a relay is the way to go.

You should be able to find those wires in the harness coming in from the drivers door. If the vehicle has a factory alarm, you should be using BLACK/ blue for arm/lock and BLACK/ white for unlock/disarm. First pulse on BLACK/ white will disarm, second pulse will unlock. The BLACK/ blue and BLACK/ white wires test off the drivers door key cylinder.
