DEI PC Interface?

I know what DEI's BitWriter is but what is "DEI PC Interface Module" mentioned in my installation manual for the Viper 791XV. Is there some kind of custom serial cable(RS232) i can make and program to download to make my labtop a Bitwriter?

I may be worng on this but i belive long tiem ago before the bitwritter it was done by a computer, i belive it its the same port. i remebr seeing a screen shot of it. But i could be wrong.

I don't think DEI carries the software anymore.
