Is there much of a differance between the 2000 and the 2002 RAV? My customer wants an aftermarket Alarm Installed Anything i need to know if someone has already installed in one of these vehicles. Marty

 The only diffrence is that  some 02 Rav-4 come with keyless entry.  The wiring is the same though.

If the rav 4 has factory keyless entry then an upgrade is the only option. I have a diagram if you need it.

Hi Marty, here's the wiring info I have for a 2002 Rav4:

ALARM / REMOTE START INFORMATION
Battery (+): WHT OR BLK/RED IGNITION HARNESS
Starter 1: RED + IGNITION HARNESS
Ignition 1A(+): BLK IGNITION HARNESS
Ignition 2A(+): BLK/YEL + IGNITION HARNESS
Accessory (+): BLU/RED + IGNITION HARNESS
Tach Sensor: BLACK AC AT ECU BEHIND GLOVEBOXPIN B27
Door Trigger: RED / YEL DRIVERS DOOR SILL
Trunk Trigger: RED / WHT - PASS SIDE JB BEHIND GLOVEBOX
Child Safe: BLU/RED - 16 PIN CONNECTOR DR KICK
Parking Lights: GRN/RED + 11 PIN CONN AT FUSEBOX
Headlights: RED / WHT - AT SWITCH HARNESS
Pwr Door Lock: BLU/WHT - DRIVERS KICK PANEL 16 PIN CONNECTOR
Pwr Door Unlock: BLU/YEL - DRIVERS KICK PANEL 16 PIN CONNECTOR
Horn: GRN/RED - IGNITION HARNESS
Factory Disarm:  DISARMS WITH UNLOCK
DR. Mtr Unlck: BLU/ORNGE + DR KICK PANNEL
DR. Motor lock: BLU/RED + DR KICK PANNEL
Factory Alarm: ARMS WITH LOCK
Passenger Unlck: BLU/ORNGE + PASS KICK PANNEL
OEM Anti-theft: TRANSPONDER
Brake: GRN/WHT + AT SWITCH ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL
Trunk Release: UNLOCKS WITH DOORS
Speed Sensor: VIO/WHT 4000P FRONT OF CENTER CONSOLE AT ECU PIN B22
Control Module: PCM BEHIND GLOVEBOX
LF Up: GRN + AT MAIN WINDOW SWITCH
LF Down: YEL + AT MAIN WINDOW SWITCH
RF Up: GRN/RED + AT MAIN WINDOW SWITCH
RF Down: BLU/WHITE + AT MAIN WINDOW SWITCH
LR Up: RED / YEL + AT MAIN WINDOW SWITCH
