canyone out there help me with this problem i've talk to a lot of people and still can't solve the problem. the 516L is a voice module add on to a viper 560XV w/remote start plus a 508D field disturbance sensor. there are 12 wires coming off the voice module 2 gray speaker outputs, 1 blue (-) hood/trunk input, 1 green (-) door trigger input, 1 brown optional siren input, 3 custom recorded messages inputs the colors are blk/wht, RED / wht, blue/wht, 1 orange ground when armed input, 1 yellow (+) 12v ignition input, 1 black (-) chassis ground, 1 red(+) 12v constant power. the 2 grays are hooked to the speaker that came with the voice modulethe blue is hooked to hood switch, the green is hooked to (-) droor trigger, brown ties into the siren of the 560xv viper alarm, orange is hooked to the viper orange ground when armed wire. yellow is hooked to the pink (+) ignition wire of a 1999 chevy tahoe. black is hooked to chassis ground. red is hooked to it's own 12v (+) source. and there is 4 places for the pug ins of the microphone, led, programrecord button, and a 2pin remote start input harness. ok now that that's out the way let me tell you my problem. everything works but the warnaway message and when you trigger the alarm it's suppose to talk to ytou and it doesn't. the 3 slots for recorded message i programed and i can even here those messages. when you arm up the alarm it say's viper armed and when you disarm it will say viper disarmed. even when you remote start thevoice module would say valet starting vehicle. ok i hooked the 508D field disturbance sensor to the voice module and walk up on the truck and all i get is a hissing sound like it's trying tosay somthing but can't i thought it supppose to say something like you've entered an area protected by viper or something like that. i've tried diode isolating the wires and still nothing. help is need badly ? kingtee i have had a bit of a play with this voice module but only on a work bench where i basically mimiced what the alarm would do to the module when it is set off or on warn away etc, I had no problem so all i can sugest is to perhaps first check all your wires at the module with a multi meter or a begal and check your trigger wires just to make sure they are all correct, if that seems all ok then take the module out of the car and wire it up on a bench and try to mimic the alarm triggers to see if the module works properly on the bench. This should tell you whether it is a. the module, b. your wiring or if all your wiring is correct and the module tests correctly on the bench then perhaps look at feedback from the wiring in the car hope this gives you some avenues to cruise down good luck
