Hey guys, for whatever reason my other name iairj84 is invalid posted_image hmm... O well... Well my question is that i just bought a 95 Blazer 4wd 4dr every option you can get... well anyways the passenger door lock is giving me trouble, it will lock with the power door locks, but for whatever reason it wont unlock... I have to manually do it which is kinda a hassle... I was wondering if it is possibly a blown fuse, relay or something of that nature or should i go scavenge for a actuator somewhere? Thanks

i always check the easiest part first so if the passenger door doesn't unlock but all the other doors do this means the lock button is working. What happens when you use the key in the master actuator door does it do the same thing, if yes then pull off the passenger door trim, find the wires that control the actuator and then dissconect it, use the drive wires and connect them to a drill battery and see if you can get the door to lock and unlock if it does then your problem probably lies at the locking module which is located under the drivers dash.

I have never seen this car before as i live in australia and used the vehicle information link to get the info on where the module is but this is how i go about finding problems no matter which car good luck hope this gives you a starting point

I own a 99. The fuse is for all doors not each door. ALSO the motors are NOT grounded to the door. So it's not like one wire is working and one is not, in other words it not like a wire is cut or broken between. That would knock out both lock and unlock.

Try the manual check or what listed above. Then move on into the door. Try not to remove the door panel if it's cold outside as the plastic gets brittle. If it's warm then go at it. It not as hard as it seems. Rememeber, some guy is slamming that door on as fast as he can to move on to the next one on the line. It's made to be easy...

it does not unlock regarless if you press the passenger or driver unlock button? most likely if the switches work the problem might be the actuator.
