I was wondering how other installers test tach signals.  I have always used the AC setting on my meter. a tach will show up as .5 - 1 volt and will increase as the throttle is increased.  I have seen guys use a non grounding test light and tach will show up as a quick negative pulse.  Is there a better, quicker, or easier way to do it??
