Hi, I have a 1995 Chevy pickup with an aftermarket alarm system. The FCC ID# on the fob says its GOB-MX1. I researched it with the FCC website and it says it got it's certification in 1994. I would like to know more about that alarm system I have (it is a code alarm brand system with a clifford speaker). It is a 3 button remote with a mode button in the top right. Sorry I dont have any pics but my webcam doesn't work.

Thank you

-Kevin

Dang, I remember those units but their old... Usually Codes are good about printing what the wires do right on one the brain. As for the features, IF all the little wiring harnesses are there then they should work. Heck I just yanked a GM branded Code out of a truck cause the lady accidently armed the thing and didn't have a clue what the keypad code was.... All the wires where labeled.

Post a list of what is said on the brain and I'm sure people would tell you what you need to know. Unless you were just wanting to know how to work the remote side. As for that, the only thing that was cool (that I remember) about it was that you could move the buttons around in each "mode". So you could have 2 modes that did nothing but panic the alarm. That way you knew when someone had you remote (shouldn't have let it out of your sight!).

The problem is I can't find the brain. What am I acutally looking for and where is it usually mounted? Also the system your describing sounds exactly like mine.

Depending on WHO Installed the Alarm............Good Luck on finding it........
U might want to look on the Driver side of dash.  Just follow the Alarm Speaker wire.  It should go right to it
Once U find the Unit, track the FCC Numbers and FCC usually has Install Instructions posted
