"But i noticed today im burning a wire"

Do you mean smoke is coming out of this wire.

I got them from the driver side kick panel. Let me try to explain it better.

The alarm has - door locks. The truck is +. So i have the the relays wired as a 3 wire positive door locks.  When i arm the alarm i have + power to the correct door lock but nothing. My problem is there is no - power going to the other door lock wire. Now if i plug the harnest back in for the door locks they have - power constant. Then i tab into them and i hear sparks and i can see i fried a wire. What am i doing wrong?

Having alot of problems getting the auto start to start. I have fm2009 alarm and 98 silverado. When i do the autostart the truck will start then die. I have checked and recheck all my wiring and still can get it to go. Its not the brake auto kill. Now i dont have any current (-/+) going to the hood switch. When i do it just dies before even trying to start. Any ideas?

What bypass module did you use ? If you din't use a bypass module then that is your problem. Use a PLXR or a GMBP for this vehicle.

that is EXACTLY what passlock will do.....

it's a fuel cut off, so the truck will run for as long as the fuel in the lines will let it...

program the alarm to learn the tach then remote start it again if it fails to start you have the passlock issue. your going to have to buy a bypass module for your truck.

put yor key in the key cylinder and remote start the truck if it starts that means the truck has passlock.if it still does the same thing you need to double check your wires at the ignition cylinder. member your trying to mimic what you do when you start the truck with your key.make sure you did not overlook an acc wire or 1st or 2nd ignition.

He already did this as he stated in his 3rd reply on this thread. It's not the tach or the wiring because the unit registers that the vehicle has started and stays running with the key in the ON position.

What bypass module did you use for the Passlock II system ??

get one at any local shop that sells alarms, they are pretty common you have to use them on almost all late 90's and new vehicles, you can get them for around 20 - 40 bucks, this is definetly the reason it's doing that, i thought someone said you replied and said you already had one

and that is exactly how paslock works, because as soon as the ignition is on you have a little bit of fuel going to the engine, but when it realizes the key isn't in, it will cut that fuel off. so the engine will start, run out of fuel almost instantly, then die, when you do that thing with the key in the ignition it reads the radio code, thinks your starting it with the key, and lets you go on your merry way,, so it's paslock for sure... just thought i'd explain what was going on for ya
