Hello all,

I installed remote start in my '99 Accord and the only way it will start with it is if I hold the key next to the ignition.  I guess it has a chip or transponder in the key.  I thought this came out in later models but I guess not.  What is everyone doing to bypass this.  I have heard people have been mounting a spare key up against the ignition switch or close to it, and I tried doing this but it did not work.  Only worked if it was out in front of the switch really close, not along the side, bottom etc.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
