Hey all..my 2001 f-150 has the factory keyless entry, but not the factory alarm. I just installed an Alpine SEC-150R, and it is in and works fine with just the two negative tripped wires for the door lock and unlock. Since the truck doesn't have the factory alarm, is just hooking to the lock/unlock OK, or is there another wire I need in addition to the lock/unlock? Also, what wire are you using for the door trigger? The only one I found that would work was a positive polarity black with blue stripe in the passenger kick panel. thanks!

Tha black with a blue wire is the normal door trigger for Fords. Yes it should read positive. As far as the door locks, it should only be 2 wires from the truck - pink/green & pink / YELLOW. The wires are usually very thin in gauge size. They usually use a negative pulse.
------------- My Personal Installer Note: Connectors are easy, neat, and professional. But do you know how to crimp properly?
