alright my brother has some cheap performance technique alarm that he bought just to beef up on security since he already has a detachable steering wheel and the autoloc. he was installing the alram and when it came time to check if everything works there is a problem with the door trigger wire.

it seems that the alarm can't read the - pulse from the door. i just keeps on showing that the door is open. he also tried to run a wire from the dooor sensor itself and hook it up to the alram and the same thing happens. the ground is good and it works perfectly fine. a funny thing happened when he tested the gound with a test light. when he hooked the test light o a 12 volt source and then poked the wire to test the ground the alarm recognized the door trigger and began working fine. when he took the probe out it started to act up again. he then tried to hook up a 12 volt source to the wire to simulate the test light but then the wires started to burn up.

we never seen this happen before. my brother has installed a few alrams in civic's before and did two for me(aladdin 2000 and a compustar) and he never ecountered this problem with the trigger wire. he has everything hooked up properly we think its just the sh*tty alarm.

if anyone has anything just leave some feedback

foot notes: door sensor has proper ground and lt GREEN/ red wire has good ground when door sensor is triggered. alarm is not responding to door trigger and always thinks the door is open. put positve power from test light to wire and then began to function properly but if hooked up to a direct 12 volt fused source wire will burn.

problem solved. there was no bulb in the dome light so it wasn't comleteing the circuit. yeah i know it was pretty stupid and simple, but now it works perfectly.
