Hey, I'm new to installing alarms and only do it as a hobby. I was just wondering where do people get there 12 volt source from when installing alarms and extras (such as power for relays). do you connect directly to the battery or use the 12volt constant at the ignition. Thanks in advance

For alarm installation you can connect it directly to the main ignition harness.

Unless doing something major or using alot of relays, then I go to the ign harness.

Isn't it better to connect the Alarm's main power directly to the battery, or it is better to do it to the ignition harness for security Reasons, or people just connect it there because its more acesable?
