hi,

I've seen these around, wondering what i'd need to make one that'll flash when the ignition is off?

How do u wire it up?  anyone have directions?

Buy a 12v volt flashing LED.  Wire the + lead to 12v+ live all the time (fused!).   Wire the negative lead to an ignition wire.  This way when the ignition is on both leads will be +12v and the LED will not flash.  WHen the car is off, the ignition lead will be - and the LED flash.

where do u buy 12 volt LED's?  I hanv'e been able to find any?

Any electronic store should have them or be able to get them.  I have about a dozen hanging on a hook right now.  The ones I bought have the plastic mounthing thingy built on and also have wires.   I will look up the manufacturer tomorrow and see if I can find them on the web for you.
