Hi

I am putting a Compustar 2WFM-AS (alarm with remote start) into an audi A3 UK model...is a 3 door hatchback...i am having the following problems:

1. The trunk input from the car is +ve but the sensor from the alarm is -ve...how can i change the polarity?

2. I can only find the passenger door trigger wire which is BROWN / white....cant find the driver side trigger wire?

3. How do i connect the central locking to the car?

thanks in advance!
Sam

You will probably need to go into each front door for the door triggers.... they will be BROWN / white either at the courtesy light in the door panel, or in the harness coming from the latch assembly. As far as locks go, you will need to use the key in the door cylnder, and test for the lock and unlock wires. They will also be in the harness that heads towards the striker.

PS: I can't wait to get an A3 TDI in Canada.... someday!

the driver door trigger should be in the kick panel or in the door if it's on the latch itself.double check with your digital meter. the locks should be there also.
