i'm trying to figure out the easy way to install my k-9 alarm what sux is I have a remote starter in my car already so i'm even more confused my other question is is it good to take out complete dash to be able to have easy acess to wires? please can someone help me

should be easier if there is already a starter is in there.   is your car std or auto?  dont have to take the WHOLE dash off, just the front cover piece and the driver's kick panel.

i think there is also a metal brace in there held in by 10mm bolts......that can come out too

The biggest problem I can see is that the K-9 system will trigger after the renote start system is engaged. Did you want to keep the RS or did you want to remove it totally ? If you want to retain it and have the alarm installed with the RS, you going to have to have the impact sensor ( if installed ) disabled while remote started or have it set lower in sensitivity. Otherwise, if you remove the RS, then just wire in the alarm and your not going to have any problems.

if you have the k-9 classic(4 buttons)  just wire it as you would normally. when you it the aux #2 the alarm disarms when the rs starts. still locking your doors and being able to unlock them via remote. so you wont have to kill your sensor. if you have the regular k-9 5 atv or use the #3 channel on the k-9 classic then yes you will have to kill your sensor because the #3 channel does not disarm the alarm.
