has anyone done alarm with remote start on the new armada? ive completed everything.. but the remote start dont seem to want to start.. I notice that he car has two starter wire.. what do i do ? theres starter 1 and starter 2.. but when i attempt to do remote start.. it wont do anything.. Tach is learned and still nothing. i checked all my connection.. its all good. have anyone else experience the same prob or something similar?

from the information you've given me, your car is not starting because you need to hook up both starter wires. there are a few ways of doing this. the easiest is...
1. tie both starter wires together at each end of the alarm. i'm assuming you're using a starter kill relay feature which requires you to cut through the starter wire. the starter wires coming from the ignition key need to be hooked up to the "ignition side" of the start wire of the alarm module. the other end of the cut wire needs to be hooked to the "starter side" of the starter wire.
2. using this method, only hook the 1st starter wire up to the alarm module in the fashion described in method 1. the 2nd starter wire should be energized by a relay either triggered by the 1st starter wire or a 2nd starter output from the alarm.
you haven't told me which alarm you have so i cannot go into further detail. let me know if you need any more help.

How did you hook up the bypass module and also make sure that you isolate the two starter wires with a relay. There's a reason why Nissan has been isolating the two starter wires since the 80's. the alarm is a Ungo Sr6000 its the 2way security system with remote start... Just like the Clifford matris rs3.5 pretty much. my other question is..on the Directwire.. it doesnt say it needs a bypass module... does this Suv need one?

i agree with velocitymotors there's a reason why both wires are isolated from one another so don't change that. you have to mimic everthing you do with your key so make sure you get all the wires needed to remote start the suv. you will need an extra relay for you 2nd starter wire and the set up is the same way as your 1st starter relay set up.good luck keep us posted.

Yes it does. Try this..... start the vehicle with the key and then try to remote start the vehicle. Remove the key and if the vehicle stays running then you have all the proper ignition wires. It will probably be your Immobilizer that is the problem. Post your results. ------------- Jeff

ok i got it to work.. relay was needed for the second starter and a bypass modeule was needed.. I got it to work thanks!.

Hi, I was reading this thread and I am having a simular problem. When I place my key in the ignition and perform a remote start, the car starts but I have this whinning sound like it is my starter or something not kicking off. My stereo comes on and my a/c powers up but the blower doesn't kick on. I currently have my starter wire #1 connected to my main starter output from my remote start module and my starter wire #2 connected to a programmable second starter,ignition,or accessary wire. Any help would be much appreciated.
