also can anyone tell me what the resistance is on the key because i need to figure out what size resistor to use.

You need to read it with an DMM. They are all different.
you need to measure it thru the wire or get a bypass that learns the resistance.
can someone give me a diagram on how this hooks up with the resistor and relay

Most any good remote start includes a section on VATS bypass.
