In my 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T my power door locks are not functioning. Here's the problem: when I press Unlock, there is no response. When I press Down, there is a 'clicking' sound coming from the center console (I just replaced a relay in there, but it made no difference). Both door switches do exactly the same thing.
When I put the new relay in and pressed the buttons, I could feel the response in the relay. What the heck could could be going on? Is there more than 1 relay? I'm doubtful it's parts inside the doors, but wouldn't be shocked if it was. I haven't had it professionally diagnosed (trying to avoid spending too much $$$). An installer and dealer technician both thought it would be relay related or possibly a console computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated =)
well rule it out, go to your switches, check make sure the ground is workin on the switches, (it probably is sence you have the relays clicking) then i would go into the door, see if your actuators are getting voltage when you hit the buton, (these shouldn't be hard to find) and if they are or aren't you will know if it's before them or if they are the problem (i doubt these all would go out at the same time) check your relays, see if you have voltage there,, i would call a dealership and get a wiring diagram for the whole system from one of their manuals, and just check everything with a multimeter
