i just got my car installed with the 791xv.  everything seems to be fine.  except car does not shut off with the remote.  but mainly i cant figure out whats wrong with the lcd or alarm.  on the lcd the only thing that shows is the battery life and the unlock icon even if i press arm/disarm it is doesnt change on the lcd just stays on unlock.  even with remote start the icon for it doesnt show up.  when i press arm/disarm the transmit and receive icon flashes then the remote makes 3 beeps and flashes the signal icon on each of those 3 beeps.  according to the manual when the signal icon shows it means that a command page is transmitted but a command page is not recieved.  how do i get all my icons do show up?

Sounds like you have a bad remote...which is very common. I just sent my alarm back to DEI. They better not send me one of those LCD remotes back. I want the new one with the LEDs on it. I've gone through two of those alarms already.
