Does anyone know how to bring back horn honk when locking/arming factory alarm on a 2001 volkswagen jetta. This vehicle was in a body shop for a while and now there is no honk confirmation but the alarm still works.looked into the car owners manual but nothing on this topic.thanks in advance...

Sounds to me like the body shop cut a wire.  I'd take it back to them if it was working before it was there and was NOT working when you picked it up.

Sounds like the famous body shop that did not put the hood switch back.  On all VW's the horn doesn't honk on locking to alert you that a door, hood, trunk, or radio is not secure.
