How come there are NO post's about this product...........or should I say "very few" post's. Is it NOT that popular.....or is it just THAT superior...? I would say it's because you can't go to the local "shop" and pick up a unit? Any takers? Hymer....jrilla.......any input? -------------

Market share is not high on this company because of advertising. If they don't advertise lots, no one hears about them. We don't have any dealer's in this region of Manitoba for this product ( that I know of ) but that's not to say the product is inferior or that it's not the same quality as Compustar or DEI stuff. Without proper national advertising, the company name and product just doesn't see consumer market share as the other big companies.

www.astroflex.com In the nothwest, where I am....there is no longer a product rep. Astroflex made him choose between them and compustar....and, well compustar is HUGE....specially in Alaska. So a good move on his part, but now I have an astroflex sign on the back window of my truck, custom designed bisness cards....and no rep. I buy direct..and talk to Roger (the national rep) when I need something. I think Jeff has it rite. I have installed all of the different products talked about on this site.....and I have found none better (my opinion of course) very "smart" design, and TOP NOTCH tech support. Allthough for me no support after 2pm pacific time. Theyre in nor east B.C. COLD up there -------------

I would love to install one of these systems and see how they perform and install in comparison to other manufacturer's. I;ve never been afraid to install another companies product as long as the wiring instructions and programming instructions are in legible English and within reason..... understandable.

Ya....the manuals are in English and of course French..... sometimes talking to the tech guys is hard, they sound SO FRENCH, ya know  -------------

So what is it, seat coverings? A new form of fiberglass? New fabric? New vinyl or leather? New sanding tool or spraygun?
Incase you can't figure it out I am giving you sh*t for posting about an alarm in the fiberglass forum.

I have installed a 1106 model remote starter a couple of years ago and it lasted me two 1/2 years later until I wrecked the car. I just got a new car and I'm going right back to Astroflex. I never had a Cliiford or other DEI product, so I can't compare them to the Astroflex, but the Astroflex has been good to me and so I will stick to it.
Besides my opinion is who would nows better about remote starters than the people who live in the cold (Canada)?

I don't know. What is worse, going to your car in subzero temp or getting into a car when it is well over 175F inside?

You'd love Manitoba summer's then. We get all the extreme's out here. Blistering hot summer's and absolutely freezing winter's + we have some of the largest mesquito's in the world . You'd love it up here. ------------- Jeff

I have to say that I saw how Astroflex's wire diagram and pictures for an installation, and I have to say that it is the best I have seen. I haven't seen much, but when you get to see pictures of where to find all the wires connections and a blow-up of the connection location for every wire, then that is the best. The Astroflex Astrochart shows you actual pictures!!!! I was suprised when a dealer showed me this! I would recommend the astrschart for connector and wire locations as you see exactly where the connection is rather than having to search a couple of locations.
