I own a 2003 Ford F-350 I just installed a Pro Start remote starter with keyless entry CT - 3300 System is complete but the unit will not except any programing, will not learn remotes and of course in turn noting works. there is a small LED on the side of the unit that is flashing contiusly? but it will not learn the transmiters. there dons't seem to be and tech numbers for them? Any one now what going on? any one seen this before? Can any one help? the second thing is what to do with the glow plug input wire? right now I have it on a preset time delay of 15 secs, but it would be much beter it it would start right after the glow light goes out. any one come across this yet?

Sorry to tell you this but the ProStart is not a very reliable piece. They have a 60 % return rate and I have had the unfortunate experience trying to install these. Onely one of them worked out of 5 that was brought to me. Most of them would not go into program mode and some did but in the end it would not start regardless of being programmed for tach and remote control.

ok..who is the Pro Start manufactured by..cause I cant' find them on the web? Second...if the LED is flashing continously....pay attention, see if there's a break in it? like flashes 4 ( or any number) times and stops for a second or two..than another 4( or any number ) times..or what not..see if there's a pattern..if there is..look in the manual, might be installers guide, whatnot..that's flash is a trouble shoot code, somethign is not hooked up right. Might have wires crossed..or more commonly, the wrong polarity..( i.e. it's looking for a negative input, and you gave it a positive) As far as the glow plug input...I'm pretty sure that means you can hook it up to the Wait To Start Bulb...so for instance..if it's looking for a negative trigger, hook it up to the side of the bulb that is positive WHILE the bubl is on, than goes negative, when it goes off...This way when the Bulb goes off, the alarm will see a Negative Trigger, and teh remote start will proceed in starting the Truck......... But Like I said...Try to give me the name of the Manufacturer, or somethign off of the manual..and I'll see if there's any other possibilites...but right now, check all your wiring. ------------- Đễẳ†ђş 12\/ Ĵęśŧē®™

Well MAvrick...If that's what Jeff said..Scrap that P.O.S. and get a dependable brand...Check out DEI's models...and Jeff..thanks for saying that..if anyone every comes to me with a Pro Start..I'll say no thank you, not interested in installing, they aren't dependable, and don't work right ------------- Đễẳ†ђş 12\/ Ĵęśŧē®™

Hey DeathsJester, Target practice sounds good for that but your quote at the bottom of your post sounds great. ------------- Sound Pressure

I agree with Jeff. Pro Start are the worst pieces of crap ever made. I get a couple of them brought to me every week because people buy them so cheap at Canadian Tire. I just refuse to install them. No amount of money is worth that kind of agravation.
