Hi, I just bought a 85 C4 and I dont have the owners manual. Could somebody with knowledge of the how the factory Alarm systems works explain it to me. It would help me so very much. Thank you.

What I remember is it is a Basic Alarm. Horn Honk, Lights Flash, etc. Can be activated by Remote or Door Panel Lock/Unlock. Deactivate with Remote or Key in Door.

Thanks, this car is dam complicated without the prier knowledge or the owners manual.

U can check Alarm by rolloing down window, Lock doors and wait approx 45 seconds. Manually open door from inside, don't use electric door lock, and observe Alarm. Then put Key in door lock and turn to Unlock

Ya, it kept going over after i locked the car then shut the hatch.
