can a remote start work if the car is not fuel injected

Yes, it can, but it is not recommended since carburated cars sometimes have to be pumped before ignition. The worse that could happen is you'll drain some juice out of your battery for a few moments, and then the starter will come back failed if you have a 2-way. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

IF THE CAR WILL START WITHOUT BEING PUMPED, SURE... MOST CARBURATED VEHICLES WILL NOT.... even many early throttle body vehicles were iffy at cold, cold temps.... they used to make solenoid kits to use on these (carb) vehicles but they didnt work all that well and you were constantly adjusting them.....

i just tell customers now, if it's not EFI, it's not worth the effort.....
