I have a 95 BMW 325i. I have successfully installed Option Group (Model: LD 168-6c) alarm system in it but have a question about auto window role up and down function.

When I give a long pulse to power lock wire WHITE/ RED / Yellow (Factory alarm plug) it locks the doors and then roles up the windows, but when I give long pulse to power unlock wire BLUE/RED / YELLOW (Factory alarm plug) it does not role down the windows. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there another wire to role down the windows?

FYI... I have built a circuit to hold the pulse for 10 seconds since my alarm only sends one pulse for window role up, not a constant pulse while holding the window role up button from my alarm remote.

Thanks,
Saqib

you will need a 4 windown role up to use it in 2 windown up and down if you need wire diagram

or yo can use a 2 windows role up module and 2 relay for up and down

bmw's 3-series of that generation can only roll up the windows via extending door lock signals.....cannot roll down. what you're experiencing is normal. if you really must have roll down (although i do not recommend it), you can find window motor wires at the relay panel behind the glove box. look for the heavier gauge wires coming out of a harness that's close to the top right corner of that panel.

note: this method is only good for single pulses of roll down, meaning that the window will roll down a few inches each time you press the remote. if the window reaches the bottom, the windows module will ground out on the motor side, thus causing a short to the +12v that you're supplying to it to roll it down. the bottom line is not to roll the window all the way down. good luck!

Thank you for the information. I figured that must be the case. Anyways, I don’t need the window role down option. I just wanted to know if I messed up my module some how. This forum is great. For the benefits of other users, I am attaching the circuit that I made to role up the windows. It did not cost me anything since I already had all the components at home

Sorry, I missed a wire in my circuit diagram. Here is the corrected circuit.

That diagram seem alittle complicated. I have a 97' 328i e36 4dr. On the lock relay that is positive I just hooked up a aux. channel to that same relay to extend the lock trigger so windows can roll up. Now for down you are gonna need four diodes and two relays. diode isolate all four door triggers and make a relay for ground. When your send extended ground for door triggers the windows roll down. you also need to use that same aux channel to power a relay
to send power to ignition at the ignition harness to roll down. On this car i highly recommend you dont mess with the window motor wires you will f things up. this feature will only close sunroof but will not open. good luck

I realized I did not indicate the correct polarity for the diodes.... I made the diagram in hurry and made a mistake... sorry if it has caused any inconvenience to anybody..
