I've searched around and can't seem to find the answer to my question, so I apologize if it's something I've missed.
I'm installing an Alpine SEC-150R into my 2001 Chevy S10. I will NOT be using the remote start feature. What, if anything do I need to do to bypass the factory OEM alarm/keyless entry. Yes, I have the orange SECURITY light that flashes on my dash.
Also, same question for my 2001 Nissan Maxima.
Thanks,
Tony

Thank you! I saw these but wasn't exactly sure what OEM Alarm Disarm was and I didn't want to start cutting wires until I was sure.
