A coustomer brought his car in because his alarm is acting up. I'd like to help him, but the thigs I've tried aren't working.

1. The remote does not do anything. The LED blinks when the button is pushed.
2. The manual says Key ON, Valet button once to disarm alarm.. Nothing happens.
3. Tried moving the pin to Learn, went through the process of learning the remote, but nothing. :/
4. Currently, when the vehicle's batt. is connected it flashes Zone 2 (2 blinks) But I can't get the unit to respond. I poped a different valet switch in but that doesnt seem to be the problem either. My customer says the remote is not original, but used to work everything including the remote start.

Help Please!!

well make sure in order to program the remote the brain has to be the door open, so make sure that door triger is working properly, and also has to see ignition the do

open the door ignition on press valet switch two times, and the second time hold the valet switch you will hear a chirp, press lock on the remote and you will hear another chirp for more info
