Best buy sells this alrm installed for $499, is that a pretty good deal?  It will be installed on a 2005 F350 6.0l diesel, whenthis alarm is installed how much cutting and splicing into factory wiring harness is done? Will they solder all connections or just use crimped? I am just nervous about cutting into my wiring and messing it up.

Thanks

On that vehicle, you should go to Best Buy because it will probably run you much more than 499 installed unless they are including everything including the bypass, wait to start, etc... at that price.

There is alot of splicing into the IGN wires and whether or not they solder will depend on the store and installer.  These are questions you should be asking them.  They are fully insured and usually capable of installing in that vehicle.  Alot of it comes down to installer competence.

Thanks for the reply,  I believe all I need is the timer relay for the glow plugs, there is no pass key.  I have never seen a F250/350 6.0 with the coded key, only Excursions and F150's.
