Hello, I'm a "do it yourself" type and I know just enough to be dangerous with vehicle electronics.  Plus I'm too cheap to pay to have it done.   I wanted to install a RS with Alarm in a 2002 Impala.  I've located all my wires and learned that the lock/unlock use the same wire.  The Note states "Lock requires a negative tripper with a 470 ohm resistor in -line.  Unlock is negative trigger.  Must use relays."      The RS/Alarm sends a negative trigger.

How do I complete the wiring with the relays with resistor?  Any and all help is welcome.

just like this, Just change the resistor value. Make sure the resitor goes on the lock relay.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

................Somthin's BURNIN'....................................
Better LOOK at that Relay Post again................
That is for POSITIVE Pulse...............
Change PIN's 87 to GROUND
PIN's 86 & 85 go to Constant 12 Volts.......

Thanks for the information....  I'll let you know how it turns out.

One more quick question.   Is it necessary to disable the factory door lock/unlock  (BCM) when the alarm/RS is being used?
