Hello. I am in dire need of help here. Its a Clifford G5 Concept 550. I turned both zones all the way down while we were installing the bump sensor. Now, I cant enter the adjustment mode with the remote.   I checked to make sure in the installer options that it was set to Proximity and not Shock. Why cant I enter the adjustment mode and what should I do. Is there a way to reset the installer settings to the default mode?????? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease help. Thanks... ROB

Hey bobk, thank you so much for the quick reply. Actually, I have both, I just set it on PROXIMITY for the port that I have the proximity sensor plugged in to. It can be set to either proximity/shock. Do I need to set this to "shock" for because I have both? Its weird, i get no response when I attempt to set it from the remote.  It worked before.

Bob. I tried that once before but I'm gonna try it again in a minute. I also remember that the shock sensor or one of them had some plugs on the harness so I will try that too. Thanks a whole bunch for the replies. I will be back.

It works.... Woooooohoooooooooooooooo!!! I did all that stuff and nothing happened, so I decided to try to double check which mode it was in, proximity or shock, when I went down to it, it was on shock so I switched it back and it worked. I could swear to God that I set it to proximity before. Anyways thanks alot bobk for the help. Its great!! This is a great place!!!!posted_image

Hello. My friend is trying to wire a Clifford G5 Concept 550 in to the factory alarm.  All the relays are in the trunk for the factory alarm.  We are having a hell of a time getting the two alarms to work in sync. Has anyone ever done this before here? Also, can please anyone send me a wiring diagram for the car?  Also, something happened while we were doing the locks and now the drivers side will unlock but not lock. What do you think the problem is?

"Also, something happened while we were doing the locks and now the drivers side will unlock but not lock. What do you think the problem is?"

Could be anything. Check all the fuses. If you haven't seen or smell anything unusual you are in pretty good shape. Door locks are Positive polarity, so test your wire.

Hey thanks thepencil for the reply and the info.  Did the person ever say what the problem actually turned out to be for the door being able to unlock but not lock?   So is there a way to wire the two alarms togeather or is it asking for trouble?  My friend is convinced it can be done....

Oh yeah, are there any other wiring schematiacs showing actual pictures of where each wire goes to in the car? thanks again..

Hello.  I am having my friend wire my cadillac 93 sts with a clifford g5 concept 550.  We were trying to wire it in to the factory alarm but the two keep quarreling.  Is there any way to make the two interface that would be very easy such as any modules out there?  Is this possible?  Also, if we could not do it, we were going to  bypass it.  What would I do with the factory alarm if I wanted to bypass it.  Is simply turning it off sufficient or does it need to be completely disconnected somehow?

Thanks, ROB..

Hey, thepencil, thanks for the reply. Do I still need that part to do this (Part #: 652T resistor pack )?  I thought it was only if you had remote start which I do not.  Do I need this part still?

Its only used to bypass the VATS when doing remote start

NO, one relay and some resistor is all that need. The what ever pack just refers to a bunch of time saving resistor where you don't have to look all over the place for the perfect resistor. Pretty straight foward thing to do anyway if you got lots of time in your had. Meter the resistence, get it as closely match as possible and you should not have any problem.

To make the story short. Go here and follow the instruction. If you still haven't got it come back and ask your questions if you are not sure about something.

Hello.  I have a Clifford G5 Concept 550 being installed into a 93 Cadillac STS.  My friend is hooking up the alarm for me.  For some reason, the trunk input (ZONE 5) keeps tripping about 20 seconds after the alarm is armed weather its connnected or not.  We were thinking that maybe we just need to connect the trunk trigger input wire for it to stop but when we did connect it, it made no difference, in fact the alarm tripped right away.  My friend said that it should not be tripping if it's not hooked up.   He said its seeing a negative and it's not event hooked up.  Everything else is hooked up and is functioning fine except for door triggers and the dome light which aren't hooked up yet .  We temporarily connected the dome light wire to see if that made a difference but it didn't.  What should I do????

Thanks.. ROB  posted_image

Oh yeah, is there a way to set the alarm to it's defaults? I see it in the users programming features grid but I didn't see it in the installers programming features grid which led me to believe that you could only reset the users programmable features and not the installers.  Maybe I'm wrong. Get it?  Anyone??.....

Anyone?? Please help. I swear, this is the last time I ever go to anyone other than a professional to do my alarm. It's been like a month and a half now and we're almost done. I just need to solve this issue then the alarm will stablize.

rob1sfc, you've posted several topics on this same install. The members that will help you will read the entire thread and many have followed it through it's progression. It takes much longer to search for your threads to keep up with this install than it does to read this entire thread, so please help us help you by continuing to post any questions you may have about this install in this thread.

Thanks Bobk for the reply.  Yeah, it sucks when you have a new issue that is killing you and it really needs attention and it gets tucked away into an old post. Anyways this dude who works gave me some good info and suggestions which I cant wait to try when I get home. He said once you try to hook up one of those triggers weather its the doors or trunk, etc it will always see it. Also he said I could try a hard reset by unplugging the battery over night or try clearing it in the user options. He also said I could try using a relay or a hood pin. Anyways, I appreaciate the simple response bobk even if you didnt have an answer. Thats the purpose on an on line community... To help each other. posted_image
