2005 Chev Tahoe with fading Dome Lights.

Have installed a SPDT Relay to convert Positive Dome Light Output to Negative Dome Light Output.
The Relay Buzzes when the Dome Lights Fade out.
Does any one know how to correct the problem or is there something else I could use to convert Positive Dome Light to Negative
This is for a aftermarket Video Flip down, and the only Dome Light wire is a NEGATIVE Input

should be able to use a one amp (1N4001) diode, 2200uf cap...never had a problem using a bosch type relay.  what relay do you have?

Have used Bosch & Optilux
Both are 30/40amp, SPDT
Bench test it works fine when we drop the voltage
Tahoe, it still buzzes when Dome lights fade out.
Approx. 2.7 volts accross Cap.
????????

This is how I did it last year and it worked great:

I must be missing something

scrap the zener and potentiometer, use a 1N4001 in series on the grey/black and a 2200uf cap across the coil.  did one today in a 2005 Escalade....worked fine : )

am I missing something? can't  you attach the relay output to the negative driver door sensor wire located in kickpanel or driver door boot?

Trying to make a 1 step procedure.  It is for Dome lights in Flip Down Monitor that has only Negative Input.

Will try again Monday with ---1N4001 in series on the grey/black and a 2200uf cap across the coil.

If that still doesn't work will try timer
