Ok I have a 96 Monte carlo with a clifford concept 200 that runs locks and basic security. I recently got a Avital 4100 for remote start! My only problem is that the remote start was wired as a stand alond and not connected to the Clifford alarm! So I get great range with the alarm but not the remote start!

This brings me to my question!

I heard that the Avital can be wired off the Clifford alarm, Giving me one less keyfob and better range for the remote start! So as I understand it I should be able to use the Clifford to activate the remote start?

Is this correct?

I'm pretty handy when it comes to wiring to I will want to see if I can do it my self! I know that there are sctivation lines comming off the remote start! I would presume that these connect to the clifford some how?

Any help will be a great help!

Thanks

Mattt

Ok I was going through a wiring diagram that I found on here it say that the Clifford has starer in and outputs and the remote start has activation inpputs and outputs! Are theses what I will use for this?

if the Avital has a negative activation input wire like most of the newer DEI product (white /blue wire) then you can simply wire up an aux output to trigger this feature... you will also want to hold back the ign watch feature of the Clifford or else when the Avital starts the car the Clifford will trigger since it sees ign being powered.... many newer DEI products also allow for this ign holdback to alarm ( yellow wire).....

you'll need to check the wiring diagram for the Avital to see what options you have.....

Well thanks for the reply! I have found another site that was willing to help me out!

The ignition wire has already been bypassed with the avital! And I will be using AUX B!

Thanks though!
