Until now it has :
- Viper 790XV
- Remote Engine Start and Stop
- 2 X Shock Sensors
- Radar Sensor (Proximity)
- Digital Tilt Sensor
- Motion Sensor
- Power Windows - Up and Down all 4
- Proximity Sensors - Front and Back
- 3 Starter Killers
- Remote Trunk
- Automatic door open (Not unlock, the doors are opening automatic without pulling the handle)

What can be added ?

Rear defrost turn on when you push an aux button.
Seat heaters turn on when you push an auc button/

Stiffer suspension to carry all the relays, modules and wire you have so far! posted_image

Congrats, the security system sounds sick!
Maybe you could add:

  • Sound sytem turns on when you push an aux button.....

Anyway how do you like the alarm system? I also want a Viper790xv on my 94 Acura Legend. I'm trying to find a good deal, so far I can get a Python 880xp (same alarm) for about $300 uninstalled. I will have to have it professionally installed though on top of that.....does that sound like a good deal? Where did you get yours from, and for how much?

Thanks!

To "carguy411" : I used the actuators DEI is providing for the trunk - 522T Trunk Release Solenoid

To : GheTToBaSS .

I live in Denmark and I get my parts direct from DEI Germany. We are distributors. You can take a look at
https://www.evosoft.dk but I don't think you will understand much :)

This was the first 790XV I installed and I was waiting long to get it home , the guy that wanted it was calling me every day at least once.
The 790XV is quite nice and the remote works on long distances , I haven't tried the full range yet but I will do it soon. I like the new Responder Technology they incorporated in the system in the first place because I can get rid of the Pager system and then the display.
As far as I know it will be hard for you to get that system for 300$.

are you using a channel expander or something?  how do you have this many options?  does the 790xv just have a lot more options?

Jaxman,

I am also looking at getting this alarm with most/all of the features you listed. Tell me what extra modules and how many of them did you have to add on besides what came with the alarm? Are you using a channel expander?

You have radar sensor, and proximity sensors (front and back) listed separate....and tilt and motion sensor are also listed separate..........aren't they the same thing?

Also what are the 3 starter kills and how did you do them? If the alarm brain is disconnected, is the starter kill still working or can the car be started ? If the starter kill is still working, how do you get it like that?

Thanks!

Hi.

I do not use a channel expander.
I mostly used relays to get it work as I didn't had any channel expander and the customer didn't want to wait.

The radar sensor (proximity) is not the same with the tilt motion sensor. The tils sensor will feel when the car is lifted up or it is moved from the initial parking position.

The 3 starter killers I installed using relays because the system provides only one.
One start killer is on the contact , one on the fuel pump and one on one of the engine control module.
And yes the 3 starter killers still work if the alarm brain is disconected, that was the meaning.
I do not remember the exact connections but I will let you know this days as I still have to install for him the Transpoder for the engine start.

I will let you know when I will take the car apart this week :)

Jaxman,

I want to know how I can get the 3 extra starter kills with the Viper 790xv........normally "open"starter kill, ign kill, and fuel pump kill, and all of then still working if the alarm brain is disconnected.........but all starter kills de-activate when alarm is disarmed. Also they are bypassed for remote start. Please let me know, thanks.

*bump*

Jaxman,
Since you did this exact same alarm with the exact same kills the way I want them, I would appreciate it if you could please tell me exactly how its done. Also how long does it take to do all of these and what is needed to do them? How much would it add to installation cost?

Also I have been told by a person who works for DEI that this methiod would drain the battery................: "There is no way to add normally open starter kill to an alarm without the capability. It takes a circuit in the alarm to control it while not killing the battery. If you where to try and "build" a relay setup to do this it would cause a drain on the battery."

Is this true? How do you get around that?

Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks.
