Hey guys, I'm still trying to figure out how to double diode isolate the doorpin sensors on my 2004 colorado. I wired them up like the diagram on here shows, but when I go to arm the alarm, it still says the doors aren't closed. Can someone give me a walkthrough of how to connect everything?

Thanks,

Paul

Double diode isolating means you actually CUT the door trigger wire in the vehicle and put a diode inline with it, and then put another diode on your trigger on the module to isolate the seperate triggers. I don't think you need to do this on the colorado, sounds more like a wiring problem or maybe your diodes are backwards? You could also just use the white (-) trigger domelight wire to catch all doors and throw the diodes out.

Does that "white wire" work when you turn OFF the dome light? (with the switch)  There are only 2 door trigger wires on this truck, and the BCM is a snap to gain access to

I've read two different things... One said to double diode isolate, and one said to just diode isolate. I tried that and it still says the same thing. I guess I need to try that double diode isolate method next. Any one else know for sure what I need to do? When doing what you described NowYaKnow, where do I tap into the wire after I cut it and wire in the diode.... Also, which way does the diode need to be wired into the wire on the BCM?

with the white line,  towards the BCM

ok then do i tap into the bcm side of the wire, in relation to the diode, or the other side, for the wire that goes to the alarm? Would not having the doorpins hooked up keep my truck from going into reservation mode, and therefore not allowing it to remote start?
