Im going to install an alarm in my 90' 240sx SE.
My alarm manufacturer is asking whether I have a "positive" or "negative" door switch trigger input (the wire to the door pin switch which supplies the on/off power to my dome light when door is open). How do I find out? Is this info in the car manual? We can't find it in the Chilton.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Test each wire with a DMM, for example stick the positive lead to 12v, then test the dome light wires with the negative lead and see if the meter registers 12v when the door is open & 0v when the door is closed. If 12v is present with the door open then you have negative trigger. Switch the leads and test again for positive.
