Ok so Ive been using this system with no problems for several months.

Im sure if you do a search youll find the install questions that I had.

Anyways, all of a sudden today my ip guages stop working completly. All of the odometer voltage everything. All of the other stuff on the truck works fine. Windows, wipers, lights, radio all that stuff.

The other weird thing is whenever the lights are on the buzzer is going like the key is not on. Now, on the stock TRW keyless there is a pink wire that I had hooked up to the code alarm system to provide the key on signal. That wire is dead. Always dead no matter what position the key is in.

Any ideas whare the problem is. Anyone know any thing about the majic TRW box?

I know the fat one inside the column is good cause thats whare I had to hook the code alarm up to in order for the key to start the truck.

If no one knows anything I think Ill jump a wire over from the column to the TRW box.

Thanks.

PS, how bout that star wars movie.

check yor MAIN igntion fuse or fuse link dont think your car has fuse links. if that is ok chek the igntion switch, this is at the top of the steering colum and near the back amy have to drop the steering shaft to get to it. but it belive it is a fuse problem. you aslo may have fuse under the hood. test the fuse just dont look at it sometime it may look good but it is not.

If the PINK wire is suppose to have 12 volts on it and it doesn't have 12 volts on it now, but it's still attached to a wire that is a switched ignition and that wire is still operational, then you have a connection problem. Check the connection to ensure that you didn't have a cold solder or if you used connectors, make sure that the connection is still making contact.

Also as stated before, make sure that you check all fuses with a DMM to ensure that there are no burned out fuses in the engine compartment and under the dash.

I think the episode 2 was better.

To elaborate a little.

When I installed the alarm I used the pink wire on the TRW box, simply cause I was there finding other wires and discovered this pink one.

The pink wire off the actual ignition switch is still working fine.

I think there may be much larger problems. On the way into work this morning all my guages still arent working, now the turn signals dont work, and the idle speed Im guessing is up around 2500 or 3000. Just a guess cause I dont actually have a tach.

Also the radio will periodically turn off then back on.

This is fun:)

I think Episode III was the best, although it felt a little rushed at times and Lukes mom needs a boob job.

Jeff,

Good call on checking the fuses with a meter. The guage fuse was blown. Checking with the little fuse checker didnt show as bad.

The bad thing is on the way home the Blaze died like the alternator was bad. Once I got it home to diagnose, pulled the battery neg while running and the alternator worked fine. Not to mention the alternator is less than a year old.

Now Im kinda worried to leave it and just keep driving.
