I have a Python 650 alarm. I am really happy with it. The one problem i have is that the alarm does not trigger when the trunk is opened. When closing the shock sets off the alarm. I assume that prying open the trunk would set off the alarm, but maybe not. Is there any simple way for me to put a trigger in the trunk?

Thanks in advance.

Does your car have a trunk light that turns on when the trunk is open ? If so, use this light to activate the alarm. Wire it in with the door trigger wire.

Jeff at Velocity has the general idea but I would take it one step farther by wiring the trunk light switch (if it is negative trigger) to the Blue wire on the 12 pin harness of your Python thereby giving you a seperate zone in case of intrusion.  If you don't have a switch,  a mercury switch can easily be added either to the lid or the hinge.  A lot of cars including the Cavalier for example use this method.

Hey cman, what kind of car are you installing this in?
