does anyone know what polarity a 97 ford explorer has on the door locks

when i wire the unlock(-)\lock(-) to these wires it doesn't do anything. the alarm does have a second dedicated passengers wire unlock(+) that when i tested with my dmm it showed positive voltage, and the regular unlock(-) and lock(-) showed a negative voltage. and the dedicated passengers wire(+) works.
