I installed a BW2150 in my Ford Ranger and it seems great until........I have installed door actuators and the BW2150. The system seems to work flawlessly but after the truck sits armed for about 15-20 minutes it starts going off? The impact sensor was even unplugged when I tested it so I know its not set to sensitive or something rookie like that. I am using 2 SPdoubleT 30 amps for the door actuators and one SPsingleT for the dome light illum. Could this cause a problem...I wouldnt think so. Im running it through cigarette lighter 12v which I fused down to 10 amps but that should be a suffiecient source for power?

I forgot to add that I cannot get it to go into programming mode. The valet switch doesnt make the alarm chirp or anything. This may be insightful/knowledgeable to an expert

As to the falsing, what did you tag for the door trigger?

not sure what you mean by tagging the door trigger. I used the yellow/black and gray/white wires from both doors and connected them to the neg. lead from the alarm.

I read a little more and isolated the diodes. Now the system works flawlessly. Cheap systems can be worthwhile after all.

for future reference and anybody else out there:

if you have a ford with the GEM shutdown problem, you can shut off the GEM and save yourself a lot of work and time.

have the driver door open and do the following

key on hit un lock 3 times

key off hit un lock 3 times

key on hit un lock 2 times

the horn should honk at you and you're done. no more problems
