Carburated or NON Fuel Injected Engines are NOT recommended for Remote Starts:

That said..........There are Remote Starts on the market that are both Tach and  "Tachless".   Some good, some J U N K

You can add an actuator such as one used for door locks. Use a factory alarm disarm output or security bypass output to trigger a relay that will close the carburator choke before starting. posted_image

i did an old oldsmobile for a buddy and js used a trunk release selonoid and hooked it to the throttle cable and wired it up to the trunk release button pump the gas before it starts and one more time to kick it off fast idle
