Hi,

Anyone know where I can purchase a new brain module for my alarm? I believe I need a new one cause my system powers up in armed state and will not disarm with valet or remote. Any leads or tips would be appreciated.:)

I already tried unplugging the alarm and letting it sit for 10 minutes. As soon as power is restored to the alarm, it goes into armed mode and will not disarm. So, anyone know where I can pick up a new controller module (Brain)?

can you not get into programe mode and reset it or something like that

I have a BitWriter programmer for the alarm and was planning on doing that but I just haven't had the time to do so yet. I don't really hold much hope that it will do any good because removing power from the alarm should have reset it but I'll try anyway.

when you power it up and it goes into armed mode can you operate any of the acc outputs on it or will it let you do nothing

At this point when I connect power the alarm not only arms itself but is then triggered. While this was happening I did try to operate a aux output and it would not work. However, I did not try to do this once the alarm timed out and was just in an armed state.

I'm not sure what this would tell me even if I could operate aux outputs but I do appreciate your thoughts and input. I'm working this weekend and so I'll not be able to try anything till Tuesday, my day off.

Removing power form the unit wont reset it. the alarm will stay in its last state when power was removed.
Call up auto techs they have brains i did not see yours but not all tere iteams are on ther website.

Is your antenna plug in all the way...unlpug it and put it back in. your remotes wont work in not in.
Valet switch you got your code right. a lot of times people forget them.

Yeah, Auto Techs is where I was quoted $60.00 so I'll order from them once I am 100% sure the brain is bad. I should know that by Tuesday. I'll be sure to post my findings and if I order a brain I'll be sure to post the results after I replace it.

I'm just glad I'm not having to mess around with all the sensors, window modules and the rest of the aux hardware. The brain will be a easy replacement by comparison.posted_image
