I am considering self employment and I am currently on the lookut for innovative products that may not currently be avaiable in the UK for my venture. What products are you using currently that "hand on heart" you can say give you no hassle after installation. I am looking for a proven reliable product that is priced right.

A basic compact system in the uk is around £90-£100+ 17.5% tax to buy at trade prices. This is a non insurance approved system.( we have a testing body known as Thatcham, systems must be approved by them for insurance discounts), Thatcham systems are around $130-$150.

I welcome any comments or recommendations

We've been installing Prestige alarms for many years now and I have to say they are probably the most reliable alarms I've ever installed, but I can't really say that we've had any problems with any of the name brand alarms that we install. DEI (Viper, Hornet, etc.) also have been extremely reliable, but when it comes right down to it, 99.9% of the time when there is a problem with an alarm, it's been an installation error and not a bad product.
