Will an older GMDL1 work fine in a 2005 Trailblazer. The version number is 04.08 as listed on the module itself. The manual says V.7 w/ window roll up. It is from bypasskit.com. I am asking because I have heard that sometimes there are glitches in these databus systems.

Ive used these before, but Im unsure of when they were made, or produced. My experiences have been fine though I dont use them much but a co-worker said that lately, he's been having to replace these modules, and they caused the power windows not to work, the locks not to work, and the check engine light came on. When he replaced it, everything was back to normal?!
