Am in the process of installing a Prostart CT-3300 on my 2000 Dodge Caravan.
On a 5 pin plug, is says to connect the purple wire, to the coil, tach, or injector. This vehicle has a high density coil, no tach and live leads coming out of the injector. Where am i supposed to hook up this wire? The function of this wire is supposed to be for (A.C.) Tachometer input. Don't have a clue what to do with this purple wire. Any advise.

You can hook the purple wire up to the gray or gray/red wire at the ignition coil.
Set your digital multimeter to AC setting. The reading will be between 1-8V AC and number will move up when you press on the gas and down when you release the gas pedal.

Thanks a bunch for the information. Doing this for my cousin, who with my husband are out there trying to figure this out. The have the actual schematics for this vehicle, but still a lot to hook it up.
Need more help. This Dodge Caravan is a 3 L. There is no gray or gray/red wire at the ignition.
What do I do now.

It is way back of the engine. There is a plug holding about 4 or 5 wires if I remember. If not you can get it at the injector.

Sry to keep bugging. Where at the injector. There are two wires going into the injector, and they are both live, all the time. Which wire?
