Hi Everyone

Love your site.  I'm installing a remote starter in my 1991 explorer.  I have found all the wires I need for the installation in the ignition harness, however I am unable to find the starter wire.  The supplied wire diagram from the manufacturer states that I need a red wire with a blue stripe, your site says a white wire with a pink stripe.  I am unable to find either in the harness and the rest of the wires in the harness don't test as a starter wire.  Does anyone know if there is a trick to finding the location of the starter wire on the 91 explorer?  If so I would greatly appreciate a response.

thanks, New Guy

( 1990-91 Ford Explorer Alarm Information )

I'd  would use a DMM  METER to read the voltage, ground your meter, probe the suspected wire with the positive and try to start the the EXPLORER, it should read 0 and when cranked up it should read 12volts
