Installing a Predator 4901TW alarm/command start combo into a 1992 Ford Explorer.  I can't seem to program the remote.  I have the installation guide & it says:

- turn key on/off

-press & hold brakes

-press valet button 5 times, siren will chrip 3 times

-release brake pedal

-press lock button on the 5 button remote & siren will chirp once - I can't get it to do this,  the alarm seems to be hooked up correctly, led flashes when the brakes or valet switch is pressed.  It will chirp 3 times & the led will glow constantly but will not chirp to confirm programming,   Can anyone help?
