I need one wire for both doors. Everything else works fine. Alarm/RS.

I must have missed something on that one wire.

Any help?

Door Trigger gray/blk (L), BLACK/ wht (R)  -  each door module in each door
Notes: On base model trucks the door trigger wires are in the lt. blue plug at the BCM, pins B4 and A5. On 4dr trucks the LR door trigger is lt. blue/black, pin A3, and the RR is lt. GREEN/ black, pin A2. They are in the purple plug at the BCM. Use all wires and diode isolate.

The BCM (Body Control Module) is under the driver side dash. It has 6 plugs in it, the purple plug is on the back.

I need a positive trigger for the door(s). One that isn't tied to the dome light circuit. The 456G module that I'm using for the locks and the door trigger say to use the under dash light, but I don't have one.

I want to utilize the active re-arm feature of my alarm/RS. Basically if a door isn't opened within 30 seconds, it will re-arm itself in case it was accidental. If I tie to the dome light circuit, it defeats the purpose because it lights when unarming anyway (like a door was opened).

Do you know of a positive door trigger for this truck?  2003 GMC Sierra.

Thanks in advance, even if you don't.

Mike

There will be a positive door trigger..... grey/black in the harness that runs up the driver's side A-pillar. You can also find it at the driver's side fusebox on the end of the dash, where the harness that runs up the A pillar is connected.

There is no positive door trigger wire that doesn't read the domelight turning on. You need to run a wire into each of the front doors. The rear doors (if it has any) can be found at the bcm. Each individual trigger will be negative and you'll need to isolate them with diodes.

Thanks. That's a downside to the 456G module. It has a neg trigger out but not during domelight super.

There is a positive trigger in the domelight in the upper center console.

AO,

Is it tied to the dome light and remains hot while the light is on or is it "off" when the door closes? It needs be door open = 12V and door closed = 0V

Thanks,

Mike
