second sensor

do i really need diodes if piggybacking an additional sensor off the shock.

you need them if you're going through factory switches otherwise no.

I would use them anyway.  I got like 60 for $1.80 (the 1n4007) from partsexpress.

yeah i have a load there.

just on a scytek they only have 1 port and i was gonna tap in to add a second sensor. seen some diagrams just didn't see a real need for the diodes..

I know bro I just got glaxy 5000RS2 I just installed last night (well it is the Asian Wolf 2009FM 2 with 2 LCD remotes rebadge).

I'm running thr microwave now but will be splicing it into the shock sensor.  My diodes from partsexpress should be here on Wednesday so do it then.  Now I'm working on wiring up the relays for my actuators I just added.  Cool that Skytek has all the diagrams on the manual for the relays.

I like the CarboFiber remote.

yeah i've got a couple of 777's here they use the same remote. decent range too. its for the 777 that i was wondering if i need the diodes.

is also stock the precision 200 thats a cool one from scytek its a basic system has shock built in and the port for the prox etc.

most diagrams i've seen for adding sensors have 2 diodes. to totally isolate i figure you need 4 thats whay i askes is isolation nessecary

We quit carrying scytek.  All the units worked good, but the 777 has a very high 2way remote failure rate.  We were having about 8 out of 10 go bad within a few months of installation.  The 777, if you have an old GM, they will scorch the board for the park lights.  Not a bad alarm at all, but you can't have failures when you are selling them.

Cool.  With the diodes you're right 4 to isolate both wire (pre-warn and full) 2 for each sensor (makes sense to me) Any issues with the 777.  I read a post from a guy here who had mean issues with the 777.

I wonder why they did no put aux sensor port on the 5000 and make the shock sensor built-in?

My shock sensors only has 1 adjusting knob (like it wasn't a dual stage) but the 4 wires tell me that it is a 2 stage.  Any idea on this?  I haven't setup the shock s.  I'm running around with microwave sensor for now.

yeah i haven't had any issues and i've been mailing the guy that had the problem with the 777 he has the replacement installed and loves it says its better that the clifford le400 he had..

i thought most shock sensors only have 1 knob theone on my clifford only has 1 knob too. it is dual stage thats for sure

Alarm just went off (I'm at work) so I got paged on LCD looked outside no one around. Probably someone walked by (still tweaking the microwave).

how are you finding the prox. for tweaking

I like it (at least I know the paging works).  There is a somking spot 10 yards away from my car so I think it is picking up those people.  The sensor is not marked for adjustment but I figured it out (like most sensors they adjust like a clock).  WHy may I ask do you need 4 sensors?
